Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with Artica. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Effective 1 October 2026Last updated 1 October 2026

The purpose

Artica is for building and running help centers. This policy keeps it safe and available for everyone. It applies to artica.tools, every tool, the Chrome extension and our services, and forms part of the Terms of Service.

Data you bring

Don’t:

  • connect, upload, record or export data you don’t have the right and the lawful basis to use with Artica;
  • connect a help desk or help center account you aren’t authorised to use, or use another person’s credentials or API keys without permission;
  • record screens with the Chrome extension that show information you aren’t allowed to share with Artica (remember that names and other text on screen are not blurred);
  • bring special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric or genetic data), children’s data, full payment card data or government ID numbers into Artica on purpose;
  • use exported files, including raw ticket exports, in ways that breach data protection law or your obligations to your customers.

Content

Don’t use Artica to create, store or publish content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploits anyone;
  • infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • is deceptive, such as phishing pages, fake support articles or impersonation of another company’s help center;
  • contains malware or harmful code.

Exporting from a link

  • Only export help centers you own, administer or are otherwise allowed to copy.
  • Don’t use Article exporter to copy someone else’s help center for republication, or to get around a site’s sign-in, paywall or technical limits.
  • Don’t point it at sites that aren’t help centers, or at internal or private addresses.

The Service itself

Don’t:

  • probe, scan or test Artica’s security, except under our responsible disclosure policy;
  • access another workspace’s data, or try to;
  • overload, flood or disrupt the Service, or send automated traffic beyond normal use of the tools;
  • get around allowances, rate limits or other limits, including by creating multiple accounts;
  • scrape the Service, or call its internal APIs other than through our own web pages and extension;
  • copy, reverse engineer, resell or build a competing product from the Service;
  • use the Service in breach of a connected platform’s terms, or of export control or sanctions laws.

AI features

  • Don’t try to make the AI features produce content that breaks this policy, or to extract their instructions or other customers’ data.
  • Don’t use AI output in ways that breach Anthropic’s usage policies, which apply to the models behind them.
  • Review AI output before publishing it (see AI use).

Enforcement and reporting

If we believe this policy has been breached, we may remove content, limit or suspend access, or close an account, as the Terms describe, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. To report abuse, email hello@artica.tools.
